Activity summary:
The Conference of NGOs is governed by its triennial General Assembly of representatives of all its members. The Board and the General Assembly work to develop and improve relations and cooperation between the NGOs and the Economic and Social Council and its subsidiary bodies. They take no position on substantive matters but, through its special and ad hoc committees, CONGO provides forums for discussion of substantive matters by its members and with members of the UN secretariat, delegations and other experts.
